Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and support Oracle Database environments, primarily Oracle 12c and 19c, across production and non-production systems.
  • Manage highly available and mission-critical database environments using Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and Exadata.
  • Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, migrations, backup, and recovery activities.
  • Manage backup and recovery strategies using Oracle RMAN, ensuring database availability and data protection.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, including SQL/database tuning, capacity management, and troubleshooting.
  • Administer and monitor database environments using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
  • Support Oracle Exadata environments, including performance and operational activities.
  • Manage database duplication and data masking processes using Delphix.
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions using Ansible, Python, Shell, and Bash scripting to streamline database administration activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex database, infrastructure, performance, and availability issues across Linux/UNIX environments.
  • Support Multitenant (CDB/PDB) environments and, where applicable, Oracle GoldenGate replication.
  • Participate in production incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and operations teams to design and deliver reliable database solutions.
  • Participate in on-call support rotation and provide on-site support according to the hybrid working model.

Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator, ideally with Oracle 11g, 12c, and 19c.
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and Exadata.
  • Strong experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures.
  • Solid knowledge of database performance tuning, troubleshooting, backup, recovery, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Strong Linux/UNIX administration skills.
  • Experience with infrastructure and database automation using Ansible, Python, Shell scripting, and Bash.
  • Practical experience with Delphix for database duplication and data masking.
  • Experience with Oracle Multitenant environments (CDB/PDB) is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate is considered an advantage.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and operate effectively in business-critical environments.
  • Strong teamwork, stakeholder management, and customer-oriented communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver technical initiatives within strict timelines and operational requirements.
  • Very good written and spoken English; knowledge of French is a plus.
  • ITIL Foundation knowledge or certification is considered an advantage.
  • Availability for hybrid/on-site work and on-call support is required.
