This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Full Stack . Net Engineer based in Canada.

This is a senior engineering opportunity within a fast-growing fintech environment, focused on building and enhancing a modern SaaS platform used by financial institutions across North America. You will work across the full technology stack, developing scalable backend services, APIs, and user-facing applications in a cloud-native environment. The role combines hands-on engineering with opportunities to influence architecture, establish reusable technical patterns, and strengthen development practices. You will collaborate with distributed engineering and cross-functional teams while contributing to a culture of quality, innovation, learning, and mentorship. AI-assisted development tools are encouraged to improve productivity, software quality, and delivery outcomes. Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance scalable full-stack applications within a modern cloud-native SaaS environment.
  • Build and maintain APIs, backend services, and user-facing applications using modern engineering practices and architectural patterns.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software aligned with business needs.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and promote engineering standards, patterns, and best practices across the development organization.
  • Develop and document reusable patterns, frameworks, and reference implementations to improve consistency and engineering efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews and champion high standards for code quality, maintainability, scalability, and reliability.
  • Mentor and support other engineers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and practical coaching.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity, software quality, and delivery outcomes.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and promote automated testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to strengthen technical processes, architecture, and engineering workflows.
  • Work effectively with distributed teams across multiple time zones while balancing technical excellence with practical business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Have at least 7 years of professional software engineering experience delivering production-grade applications.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or possess equivalent practical professional experience.
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in C# and <ASP.NET> development.
  • Have experience building full-stack applications using MVC frameworks and modern software architecture patterns.
  • Possess strong proficiency with React and contemporary frontend development practices.
  • Have professional experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ORM frameworks.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and microservices architectures.
  • Have hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, source control, and DevOps practices.
  • Demonstrate experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
  • Have a proven ability to mentor engineers and contribute to technical leadership and engineering culture initiatives.
  • Possess strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working within distributed and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Be comfortable solving complex technical challenges and developing clean, maintainable, and scalable software.
  • Experience in Capital Markets, Treasury Management, Financial Services, or FinTech is considered a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of derivatives, hedging, risk management, or financial products is desirable.
  • Experience with CQRS, Event Sourcing, or Event-Driven Architecture is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous.
  • Experience with AWS, Terraform, or AWS CDK is considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with Blazor and migration strategies toward modern React applications is desirable.

  • Base salary ranging from CAD $110,000 to $150,000.
