Full Stack Web Developer (.NET / Python)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Full Stack Web Developer (.NET / Python) based in India.

This remote opportunity is ideal for a mid-level full stack developer who enjoys working across both established and modern web technologies. You will build, enhance, and maintain secure applications using C#/.NET, Python, JavaScript, and SQL Server. The role combines hands-on development with application modernization, integrations, troubleshooting, performance optimisation, and rapid prototyping. You will collaborate with internal teams and customers to translate requirements into practical, high-quality software solutions. AI-assisted development tools will be part of the workflow, helping accelerate prototyping, automation, and delivery. Strong engineering fundamentals, security awareness, and a commitment to maintainable code will be essential to your success.

Accountabilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain secure web applications using C#/.NET, Python, JavaScript, and SQL Server.
• Build functional prototypes and proof-of-concepts based on business or market requirements, leveraging AI-assisted development tools where appropriate.
• Support application modernisation initiatives, integrations, bug fixes, troubleshooting, and performance improvements across the web application stack.
• Work with team members and customers to understand requirements, clarify technical needs, estimate solutions, and deliver functional software.
• Communicate development progress, technical issues, risks, dependencies, and impediments in a timely manner.
• Apply clean design, maintainable implementation, unit testing, and secure development practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to CI/CD workflows, source control practices, and reliable application delivery.
• Help identify opportunities to improve application quality, performance, security, and development efficiency.
• Use AI-assisted development platforms responsibly to accelerate implementation, experimentation, and technical prototyping.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience may also be considered.
• 5+ years of professional web application development experience using C# and .NET/ASP.NET.
• 2+ years of hands-on Python development experience for backend services, scripting, automation, integrations, or prototyping.
• 5+ years of JavaScript experience, including practical experience with jQuery and TypeScript.
• Experience with <ASP.NET> Web Forms, <ASP.NET> MVC, <ADO.NET>, and Entity Framework 6 or later.
• Working knowledge of Angular and modern front-end development practices.
• Strong SQL Server experience, including database design, complex queries, stored procedures, and performance-conscious development.
• Solid understanding of software engineering practices including unit testing, design patterns, SOLID principles, and Clean Code.
• Knowledge of application security principles, including OWASP practices, authentication hardening, SQL Server security, and protection against SQL injection vulnerabilities.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, Replit, or Google AI Studio.
• Mid-level English proficiency for written and verbal communication with internal teams and customers.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and ownership skills.
• Experience with React, Next.js, Vue.js, or comparable modern JavaScript frameworks is a plus.
• Exposure to Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms is advantageous.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries is beneficial.
• Experience developing functional prototypes or proof-of-concepts using AI-assisted platforms is an advantage.
