About The Role

  • Lead and coordinate all SPS engineering activities throughout EPFS execution.
  • Act as the primary engineering focal point for Subsea Trees, Wellheads, Running Tools, Installation Equipment, SPS hardware and control systems .
  • Provide technical leadership, supervision, mentoring and development to SPS engineers and technical specialists.
  • Coordinate engineering priorities, workload and deliverables across the SPS team.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables are completed, reviewed and approved in line with project schedules.
  • Manage contractor and supplier engineering performance and ensure contractual compliance.
  • Lead technical reviews with contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
  • Review and approve engineering calculations, analyses, procedures and design documentation.
  • Oversee technical queries, non-conformances, concessions and design deviations.
  • Ensure SPS equipment and designs comply with project specifications, international codes and industry standards.
  • Lead multidisciplinary interfaces with subsea controls, flowlines, pipelines, structures, drilling, completions and operations teams.
  • Coordinate engineering support for manufacturing, FAT, SIT, EFAT, IST and offshore installation campaigns.
  • Support procurement activities, including technical bid evaluations, supplier assessments and equipment qualification.
  • Lead technical risk identification, mitigation and management.
  • Support project management with technical decision-making and risk-based evaluations.
  • Ensure SPS systems are ready for commissioning, start-up and handover.
  • Support execution strategies, fabrication plans and installation methodologies.
  • Ensure effective transition from engineering into fabrication, installation, commissioning and handover.
  • Maintain technical integrity of the SPS package throughout project execution.
  • Promote consistent engineering practices, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with HSE requirements and company procedures, with authority to suspend activities where there is a threat to people, the installation or the environment.
  • Degree/Master's qualification in Drilling, Subsea, Mechanical Engineering or another relevant and recognized discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in Oil & Gas projects .
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Subsea Production Systems (SPS) .
  • Strong background in subsea hardware, subsea drilling or engineering management, with detailed knowledge of subsea systems.
  • Proven experience leading SPS engineering teams on major offshore developments.
  • Significant experience with Subsea Trees, Wellheads, Running Tools and SPS hardware package delivery .
  • Strong understanding of EPC / EPFS project execution .
  • Proven experience managing suppliers, contractors and multidisciplinary technical interfaces.
  • Experience across procurement, fabrication, testing and offshore installation phases.
  • Strong knowledge of API, ISO, DNV and applicable subsea industry standards .
  • Experience with FAT, SIT, EFAT and offshore commissioning activities.
  • Proven ability to lead engineering teams and make complex technical decisions.
  • Fluent English is mandatory.
  • Previous experience with Baker Hughes SPS systems is advantageous.
  • Previous TotalEnergies experience is advantageous.
  • Experience on Caspian Sea developments is beneficial.
  • Place of work: London, UK then Baku, Azerbaijan
  • Working Schedule: Resident 5 days per week 
  • Contract : 12 Months renewable
