Temporary People Operations Specialist (100%), 6 month-contract
Overview
We are looking for a motivated People Operations Specialist to join our People team on a temporary basis. As a Temporary People Operations Specialist at Auterion, you will play a key role in supporting People Operations across our office locations, primarily Switzerland and Germany, with additional support for the US and UK. This position requires an organized, detail-oriented professional with an interest in HR operations and people projects. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing day-to-day HR operational tasks, supporting the People team on various topics, and contributing to cross-country People-related and HRIS projects.
Responsibilities
Documentation: Draft and prepare employment-related documents and amendments
Reference Letters & Work Certificates: Prepare reference letters (Switzerland and Germany) and work certificates in line with local legal requirements
Employee Support: Respond to first-line employee questions regarding HR policies, contracts, and procedures
Supporting Diverse HR Projects: Support and drive projects for the People team, including ongoing initiatives, ad hoc requests, and cross-country projects (e.g., reference letter tool implementation, process improvements (i.e. onboarding and offboarding, policy rollouts)
Onboarding: Support with new employee onboarding, including paperwork, system setup, and coordination with relevant teams
Offboarding: Support with employee offboarding, including documentation as needed
HR Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system across all locations
Work Permits: Support the TA team, new hires, employees and managers with questions about work permits and residence registration processes
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience in HR operations (internships count)
- Fluent in English; very good German (min. B2 level)
- Familiarity with Swiss and/or German employment documentation and HR administration
- Comfortable working with HR systems/tools (e.g., HiBOB, Google Suite)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Proactive and able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, international environment
- Rigorous, self-organized, and autonomous in managing priorities across multiple countries
- A passion for structure, processes, and a sense of urgency
