Furniture & Products Development Specialist (FF&E)

As we continue to scale our portfolio, we are building a structured approach to apartment furnishing, product development, sourcing, and supply chain standardization.

The Role

We are looking for a Furniture & Products Development Specialist (FF&E) to own the physical product layer of our apartments, from product development and standardization to sourcing and purchasing.

This role sits between Design, Purchasing, and Operations and is responsible for developing and managing the furniture and products catalog used across Moving Doors apartments. You will work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to source

Key Responsibilities

Furniture & Product Development

• Own and maintain the approved furniture and equipment catalog across our apartments.
• Select, adapt, and develop furniture and products with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Define product specifications, quality standards, materials, dimensions, and functionality.
• Develop standardized furnishing packages that can be deployed consistently across apartments.

Sourcing & Purchasing

• Identify and evaluate suppliers, request quotations, and negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times.
• Manage purchasing from quotation and order placement through to delivery.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records.
• Follow up with suppliers on orders, deliveries, quality issues, returns, and warranties.
• Coordinate with Operations, Logistics, and Finance to ensure timely delivery, stock availability, and invoice processing.

Optimization & Standardization

• Work with Operations to monitor product performance, replacement rates, and recurring issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, durability, lead times, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate product specifications, pricing, and supplier information across the FF&E catalog.
• Work with Design, Operations, and Procurement to ensure products are practical, scalable, and aligned with our furnishing standards.
• Background in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Interior Architecture, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
• Experience working with furniture suppliers, manufacturers, or product sourcing.
• Strong understanding of materials, construction methods, product quality, and durability.
• Experience with supplier management, sourcing, purchasing, and negotiation.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to balance design, quality, cost, lead time, and operational practicality.
• Experience managing product catalogs or standardized product ranges is a strong plus.
• Experience in hospitality, residential development, furnishing, or property management is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and fluent English.
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally to meet suppliers and key partners
