About The Role
The Mount Sinai Health System and Kravis Children’s Hospital at Mount Sinai is seeking a Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecologist to join the growing Division of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.
In January 2019, we began the Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology Program to provide outstanding comprehensive and compassionate care for patients from infancy to young adulthood with medical and surgical gynecologic needs in the New York tri-state area and support educational training and mentorship for medical students, residents and fellows. Under Mount Sinai Children’s there is a focus to develop advanced care models for complex patient needs with multidisciplinary partnerships and collaboration with colleagues in various pediatric subspecialties including but not limited to surgery, urology, adolescent medicine, hematology/oncology, endocrinology.
The successful candidate would work with our Division Chief to expand the program and will hold a dual appointment in the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics and the Raquel and Jaime Gilinski Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science. Administrative responsibilities will include coordination and communication with other services and active involvement in development of multidisciplinary groups. Clinical responsibilities will include the provision of consultations and co-management in the inpatient and outpatient setting within the Mount Sinai Health System in New York and Children’s Health Valley System in Northern New Jersey. The candidate will also participate in teaching fellows, residents, medical students within both Pediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynecology, and have support for other academic/scholarly activities.
The Kravis Children’s Hospital is ranked in 7 subspecialties by US News and World Report. Kravis has a long history of proving outstanding care for children, and has a distinguished tradition of excellence in clinical, translational, and basic biomedical research. Kravis is part of the Mount Sinai Health System, which includes 7 hospitals in the New York metropolitan area, as well as a large regional ambulatory footprint. Kravis has 2600 inpatient admissions per year, 40 med-surg beds, with a 15 bed PICU, 6 bed PCICU, 5 bed telemetry/EMU unit, Level III NICU, pediatric emergency department, and a full range of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties.
Candidates must have an MD/DO degree and BC/BE in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Fellowship training in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology is preferred. We are seeking bright, independent physicians who are committed to an academic career in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology with the desire to contribute to the growth of an academic division. A variety of academic interests would be supported.
Faculty appointment is in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited program
- Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- New York State Medical License (or eligible)
- New Jersey Medical License (or eligible)
- Meet eligibility requirements for an appointment to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
Compensation range from 300K to 350K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
