About The Role
Duties
(a) To assist in providing professional support measures of the Territory-wide System Assessment (TSA);
(b) To continue with the development and enhancement of the Student Assessment Repository (STAR) Platform by designing assessment items / tasks, as well as learning and teaching resources; and modifying / consolidating the existing learning and teaching resources, including those of the Web-based Learning and Teaching Support (WLTS) and GoAdaptive to complete the entire set of the full curriculum resources for Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3;
(c) To enhance the section "Self-selected Assessments" as a self-learning tool / resource for students;
(d) To provide Hong Kong Education City with professional support in promoting the use of the resources at schools;
(e) To assist in conducting collaborative projects with frontline teachers for enhancing the implementation of learning, teaching and assessment;
(f) To render support in organising and conducting professional development programmes for schools and different stakeholders to promote assessment literacy; and
(g) To perform other duties as assigned by the supervising officers.
Entry Requirements
(a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree majoring in English Language, English Studies, English Literature or English Language Education, or equivalent [See Notes (1) and (2)];
(b) A certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent [See Notes (1) and (2)];
(c) Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and Level 3 or above in English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note (3)];
(d) At least 4 years' relevant post-qualification [as specified in (a) and (b)] experience in teaching English and/or developing language curriculum at primary or secondary level in the local context [See Note (4)]; and
(e) Candidates with (i) good communication and interpersonal skills; (ii) good computer skills; and (iii) knowledge and experience in development of resource materials for learning and assessment at primary and/or secondary levels with the use of multimedia preferred.
Pay
$52,575 per month
Terms of Appointment
Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms up for 1.5 years.
