Senior Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Manual & Functional Testing

• Review business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
• Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, and UAT testing.
• Validate application functionality against business requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.

Database Testing

• Perform backend data validation using SQL queries.
• Validate data integrity, data migration, and database transactions.
• Verify stored procedures, views, triggers, and database functions.
• Analyze and troubleshoot data discrepancies across systems.
• Ensure data accuracy in reports and downstream applications.

Automation Testing

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, or similar automation tools.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute automated regression testing and analyze results.
• Enhance test coverage through automation frameworks and reusable scripts.
• Work closely with developers to improve test automation effectiveness.

Test Management Activities

• Prepare test plans, effort estimates, and testing schedules.
• Manage test execution and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Monitor testing progress and ensure timely delivery of testing milestones.
• Track quality metrics, defect trends, and testing KPIs.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams during release cycles.

Agile & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Participate in sprint planning, grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Project Managers.
• Support production releases and conduct post-deployment validation.
• Provide risk assessments and recommendations to improve product quality.

Required Skills

• 4-6 years of experience in Software Testing.
• Strong expertise in Manual Testing and Test Case Design.
• Hands-on experience in Database Testing and SQL query writing.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation tools.
• Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools.

Tools & Technologies

• Test Management: JIRA, Azure DevOps
• Automation: Selenium, Playwright
• Database: SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL
• API Testing: Postman, Swagger
• Collaboration: Confluence, Microsoft Teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Enterprise Applications.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Basic knowledge of performance and security testing.
• ISTQB Certification is an added advantage.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
