About The Role
Ensure that products comply with specifications by performing Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and visual inspection .
- Inspection
- Inspect materials using various Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods, including:
- Visual Inspection (VT)
- Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
- Report any detected defects or deviations.
- Perform surface improvements (e.g., grinding) to evaluate inspection indications.
- Cross-check inspected products.
- Verify that all required materials and documentation are available before inspection.
- Inspection Reporting
- Document and report all identified defects and non-conformities.
- Minor Equipment Maintenance
- Keep inspection equipment in good working condition by performing routine preventive maintenance.
Job Characteristics
Communication
- Discuss inspection progress and any issues with the Cell Support Team (including the Cell Captain, Cell Managers, and Cell Planner).
- Discuss uncertainties, defects, and NDT acceptance tolerances with the QC Manager.
- Discuss rejected products with Production and the QC Manager.
- Exchange information with the Purchasing department regarding the quality of castings.
- Discuss welding waiver reports with the Engineering department and colleagues.
- Communicate in English when required.
Authority
- Perform non-destructive testing in accordance with established procedures.
- Reject products when necessary, in consultation with the Cell Support Team.
Responsibilities

- Correctly inspecting products according to specifications and procedures.
- Performing and documenting periodic inspections as described in company procedures.
- Reporting deviations and non-conformities.
- Recording relevant inspection data in the computerized system.

Preferred Qualifications
Education
- Education level: VMBO+ (vocational secondary education) or equivalent work and thinking level.
Additional Qualification Requirements
- NDT Level II certification.
Preferred NDT Certifications / Training
- Magnetic Particle Limited I – No formal training required.
- Magnetic Particle Level I – 70 hours of training (typically completed within 0.5–3 months).
- Magnetic Particle Level II – 210 hours of training (typically completed within 1.5–9 months).
- Visual Inspection Level I – 70 hours of training (typically completed within 0.5–3 months).
- Visual Inspection Level II – 140 hours of training (typically completed within 1.5–9 months).
Language Requirements
- Dutch language proficiency.
- Basic English language skills.
