Job Description

Payroll Assistant Manager is responsible for managing and supporting end-to-end payroll operations across assigned regions, ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of employee compensation and related statutory obligations. The role serves as a key partner in delivering high-quality payroll services, maintaining data integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing employee experience through effective payroll administration and reporting

Responsibilities

Employee Service

  • Provide payroll-related support and guidance to employees, responding to inquiries and resolving issues within established service levels.
  • Ensure that HR systems are up to date.

Payroll

  • Responsible for end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Ensure the accuracy of payroll information through review, audit, and analysis of employee time and attendance, payroll records and reports.
  • Maintain payroll system, including data entry, updating of employee information,
  • Calculate monthly staff overtime claims, including monthly overtime reports,
  • Ensure payroll is processed timely and accurately in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll-related laws like taxes, social insurance and other legal deductions.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all employee information and payroll records.
  • Reviewing and Following up regarding the Bank relation: Initiate the account opening process for new hires, receive / deliver debit cards, follow up with bank for new hires bank account number, advise internal and external concerned personnel concerned,

MIS & Reporting

  • Regulating the compilation of the regular reports on payroll, salary changes, deductions, new hires / leavers financial impact on payroll, payroll reconciliation, etc..

Offboarding

  • Preparing the final settlement calculation and related documents for separating employees.

Perform other related duties as requested by the company.

Experience

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in Payroll preferably within multinational organizations.
  • Hands-on experience in payroll processing, offboarding, and employee final settlements.
  • Experience in the financial services sector is a plus.

Job Specific Skills

  • Strong experience in end-to-end payroll processing and payroll reconciliation.
  • Good knowledge of local labor laws, social insurance regulations, and income tax requirements.
  • Experience managing employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Strong knowledge of final settlement calculations and exit procedures.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication in English.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
