About The Role

As a Relationship Manager in the Emerging Markets department, you will be the primary liaison between USGI and its portfolio of clients in developing economies. Leveraging your general insurance expertise, you will identify opportunities, craft customized solutions, and nurture long‑term relationships that fuel growth and profitability. The role demands a proactive, hardworking professional with a growth mindset, excellent learning and communication abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients in emerging markets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and cross‑sell insurance products tailored to regional needs.
  • Conduct market research to stay abreast of regulatory changes and competitive dynamics.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and product teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and performance reports to clients and senior management.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions while safeguarding USGI’s risk appetite and profitability.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and address issues promptly to maintain high retention rates.
  • Participate in regional industry events and networking forums to enhance brand visibility.
  • Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing within the Emerging Markets team.
  • Report on key performance indicators and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in general insurance, preferably with exposure to emerging markets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving market conditions.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Growth mindset with a track record of continuous professional development.
  • Age between 25 and 35 years.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
  • High level of motivation, resilience, and a hardworking attitude.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
