Process Engineer Manager

Basic Function of the Job

This role requires an ability to work well with internal functions, contract manufacturing teams, and customers with strong both management and leadership skills. The main focus may consist of

• Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design to contract manufacture team
• Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements and work with contract manufacturing on implementation
• Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Provide technical advice to manufacturing teams to optimize product quality, product cost and manufacturing efficiency
• Work contract manufacturings for trouble shooting until problem solved on daily basis. Also, collaborate with internal teams
• Work with R&D/NPI team to introduce new product production floor, and collaborate to contract manufacturing team

Job Requirements

Education : Bachelor Degree (or higher) in Optics, Electronics, Semiconductors, telecommunication or equivalent technical discipline from an accredited college or university

Experience

• 8-10 years of working experience in manufacturing engineering, with experiences about problem analysis and problem solving.
• Experiences about product/process improvement, and cost reduction
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills

Special Skills

• Ability to apply statistical analysis tools such as sample statistic, descriptive statistic, statistical hypothesis testing, normal distribution, distribution charts, histograms, SPC, trending, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, factor analysis etc., and the ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, and implement / monitor root cause corrective actions
• Demonstrate highly ability to solve complex issues in process and product development.
• Strong Project management and handle special assignments promptly and professionally.
• Strong leadership and good Interpersonal Skills
• Good in English

1. Manufacturing process Management 70%

• Evaluates manufacturing processes, and develop the improvement plan, and deliver to contract manufacturing team for execution
• Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes
• Coordinate with other functions internally and contract manufacturers to make sure products can meet both the commitment plan and quality standards
• Involving product and process development at development phase to manufacturing to ensure product quality, product cost and manufacturing efficiency. With New technology like AI to support for more efficiency of process development
• Work with Product engineer for Cost reduction project
• Alternative Supplier material verification for Modules performance and cost comparison
• Define WI in detail with CM to create for Document of process
• Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests
• Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-functional meetings to ensure collaborating
• Prepare and ensure the Fixture/Jig /interface card can be support for Production ramp up and work with Industrial engineer for ramp up capacity as to provide the equipment

need for Ramp up

1. Project Management 30%

• Coordinating internal resources and contract manufacturing team and Process engineer ,Test engineer , Application engineer for projects execution
• Ensure that all projects are completed on-time, within scope and within budget
• Completes design and development projects by training and guiding process engineer and CM engineer
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Capacity ramp up work with Industrial/Product/Optical /Test engineer for Expansion capacity on ie , Assembly station/Test verification expansion, and other process
