About The Role
Provides individualized and group education, counseling, and support in Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME), Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), diabetes prevention programs, and other health and wellness initiatives. Supports Providence Community Wellness programs through the delivery of evidence-based education and interventions designed to improve health outcomes and promote healthy lifestyle behaviors across diverse populations.

Required Qualifications
- Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
- Washington Dietitian Certification upon hire -OR- Washington Nutritionist Certification
- National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration upon hire
- Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) upon hire or preparing for the NCBDE qualifying examination
- 6 months of experience providing diabetes education and/or 15 contact hours within past year in diabetes and diabetes clinical and educational subjects
Preferred Qualifications
- Credentialed as a diabetes education specialist or diabetes clinical management specialist
- CDE certified
- 3 years of experience as a healthcare professional
