  • committed: Supplier Quality Engineer – Semiconductor Materials
  • (m/f/d) Starting on January 27, you can become a key safeguard for
  • Europe’s newest, most advanced semiconductor manufacturing process.
  • As a Supplier Quality Engineer – Semiconductor Materials (m/f/d) at
  • ESMC, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability
  • of all incoming materials and services used in our Dresden fabrication
  • facility. By collaborating with global suppliers and our internal
  • engineering, procurement, and laboratory teams, you will establish a
  • stable quality baseline that matches our mother fabs in Taiwan. This
  • role is an exciting opportunity to combine your technical knowledge of
  • material science with supplier management and big data analytics to
  • protect our production from material excursions! Tasks Incoming
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain a stable statistical
  • baseline for incoming materials and services to ensure local wafer
  • quality aligns with our international mother fabs. Supplier Quality
  • Management: Conduct comprehensive supplier quality system assessments,
  • onsite audits, risk management, and process change control (PCN)
  • reviews. Excursion Prevention: Utilize statistical process control
  • (SPC) data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to proactively
  • monitor supplier performance and prevent material deviations.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Lead cross-functional troubleshooting
  • teams alongside suppliers and internal laboratory, facility, and
  • procurement departments to quickly resolve quality issues.
  • Cross-Border Alignment: Align requirements and share Best Known
  • Methods (BKMs) across different time zones, communicating effectively
  • with internal management and executive supplier representatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Build trust-based, professional relationships
  • with suppliers to encourage proactive transparency and continuous
  • quality improvements. Profile Must-Have: Education: Bachelor’s or
  • Master’s degree in Material Science, Material Engineering,
  • Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related
  • technical field. Experience: 0 to 3 years of professional experience,
  • ideally in the semiconductor industry or related high-tech sectors
  • (e.g., photovoltaics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals). Core Technical
  • Skills: Familiarity with basic material quality management,
  • statistical data analysis, or process change control. Interpersonal &
  • Communication Skills: High intercultural open-mindedness, strong
  • initiative, and the confidence to communicate effectively with
  • international teams and senior management. Languages: Fluent in
  • English (written and spoken) is required. Nice-to-Have: Practical
  • experience in semiconductor fabrication operations, process
  • engineering, or physical/chemical laboratory analysis. Familiarity
  • with structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys) and
  • supplier auditing. Basic conversational skills in German and/or
