Summary

Join Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as a Practice Manager and play a key role in leading the day-to-day operations of multiple ambulatory clinics that support world-class cancer care.
In this highly visible leadership role, you will oversee and direct the business and operational functions of assigned ambulatory practices, ensuring efficient clinic performance, outstanding patient service, and alignment with organizational goals. Working collaboratively with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Nursing leadership, and multidisciplinary teams, you will help drive a culture of excellence, accountability, and patient-centered care.
The Practice Manager is responsible for leading and developing clinical business staff, optimizing workflows, maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory standards, and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and patient access. This role serves as a key partner in ensuring that clinic operations support exceptional patient outcomes while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Highlights of the Role
- Lead and oversee business operations for multiple ambulatory specialty clinics.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop clinical business staff to achieve operational goals and high performance.
- Collaborate closely with providers, nursing teams, and organizational leaders to support efficient and patient-focused care delivery.
- Drive operational excellence through process improvement, workflow optimization, and resource management.
- Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and organizational standards.
- Monitor clinic performance metrics and implement strategies to enhance patient satisfaction, access, and efficiency.
- Foster a welcoming, compassionate, and service-oriented environment for patients and their families.
Starting hourly rate for this position is $39.14 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in a business or health related field and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in the administration of a physician practice organization; or
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or health related field and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in the administration of a physician practice organization; or
- Associate’s Degree in a business or health related field and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time experience in the administration of a physician practice organization; or
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of seven (7) years of full-time experience in the administration of a physician practice organization.
NOTE
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of Human Resources experience, with a strong background in candidate sourcing, intake calls, and applicant screening. Experience recruiting for or supporting the recruitment of nursing, clinical, faculty, and executive-level positions is highly preferred.
The successful candidate should be able to handle various administrative tasks which is essential.
