1. Lead and Preparation of statutory financial statements (balance sheet, income statement,and all supporting schedules.) in compliance with NAIC regulations and SSAPs.
2. Review and approve the preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
3. Oversee the year-end financial close process, ensuring that all reconciliations, adjustments, and journal entries are completed on time.
4. Stay up to date with changes in accounting regulations, and compliance requirements that impact statutory reporting and financial filings.
5. Implement, monitor, and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial statements
6. Work closely with senior finance managers to identify areas of improvement in financial reporting processes
7. Identify opportunities for process improvements in the statutory reporting and financial closing process
8. Participate in training and development initiatives to keep up to date with changes in financial reporting standards
9. Support business units with specific financial information or report requests to aid in decision-making
10. Lead special projects or ad-hoc reporting tasks as required by senior management or external stakeholders
11. Knowledge of SOVOS reporting tool.
12. Experience of SAP Hana ERP
