About The Role
Description
Our client, a well-established corporate bank based in Luxembourg, is looking to strengthen its Compliance team with the recruitment of a Senior AML Compliance Officer – Chinese Speaker.
This position offers the opportunity to join an international environment and take on a key role in supporting the institution's AML/CFT framework, with particular exposure to Chinese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
Your responsibilities
As a Senior AML Compliance Officer, you will be involved in a broad range of AML/CFT and Compliance matters, including
- Performing and reviewing AML/KYC assessments on clients and transactions;
- Conducting Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on higher-risk relationships and complex structures;
- Reviewing client files, source of wealth/source of funds and supporting documentation;
- Performing transaction monitoring, sanctions, PEP and adverse media reviews;
- Identifying, analysing and escalating potential AML/CFT risks;
- Supporting the Compliance team with periodic reviews and remediation projects;
- Providing advice and guidance to the business on AML/KYC-related matters;
- Contributing to the development and update of Compliance policies and procedures;
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and supporting interactions with relevant regulatory or control functions.
Your profile
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in AML/KYC or Compliance, ideally within a bank or financial institution in Luxembourg;
- Strong understanding of the Luxembourg AML/CFT regulatory environment;
- Solid experience with complex KYC files, EDD and financial crime risk assessment;
- Fluent Chinese/Mandarin is required, combined with professional proficiency in English;
- French would be considered an advantage;
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to work independently while interacting effectively with international stakeholders;
- Rigorous, pragmatic and business-oriented approach to Compliance.

- Indicative fixed salary: €80K–€110K gross per year, depending on experience and technical expertise.
