About the Role

HYDE Hotel Galway is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. Reporting to the General Manager, the Restaurant Manager will be responsible for leading operational excellence, developing and managing teams, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving commercial performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with management experience in a hotel, restaurant, or high-volume food and beverage environment who is passionate about customer service, team development, and operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, ensuring the highest standards of guest service are maintained.
• Lead, supervise, train, and motivate restaurant staff to achieve operational and service excellence.
• Manage staff scheduling, labour costs, and resource allocation to support business needs.
• Monitor and maintain service standards, ensuring guest satisfaction and effective resolution of customer feedback.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, health and safety, and licensing regulations.
• Support the planning and delivery of events, functions, and group bookings.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, budgeting, and cost management.
• Monitor departmental performance and implement initiatives to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Contribute to the achievement of restaurant revenue and customer satisfaction targets.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will possess

• A minimum of 3 years' management or supervisory experience within a hotel, restaurant, resort, or hospitality environment.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced customer-focused setting.
• Strong organisational, leadership, and people-management skills.
• Experience managing operational performance, staff scheduling, and service delivery.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high service standards.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality management systems.
• A qualification in Hospitality Management, Business, Hotel Management, or a related discipline is desirable.
• A strong understanding of HACCP Principles
