About The Role
At ABM, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Janitorial Supervisor to oversee the janitorial operations at a healthcare facility. This supervisory role involves managing a large team of janitors, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in a healthcare setting. The Janitorial Supervisor will serve as the primary point of contact for the healthcare facility and building administration, fostering communication and collaboration to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Compensation : $70,000 -$75,000 Annually
The pay listed is the annual range for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
Location: Irwindale, CA
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday daytime hours; Weekends or afternoon hours on need basis

- Supervise and manage a large team of janitors across multiple locations.
- Hire, train, coach, and evaluate janitorial staff performance.
- Implement and maintain cleaning protocols in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Serve as face-to-face contact with local Kaiser management and building administration, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
- Partner effectively with multiple building management personnel to ensure cohesive operations and high-quality service delivery.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among janitorial staff.
- Utilize effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient operations.
- Work independently while taking the initiative to solve problems and improve processes.
- Engage remotely with the greater team at ABM to ensure consistent communication and support.
Required Skills
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a MUST.
- Proven management skills with experience in supervising a large team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Experience in multi-unit building management.
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Desired Skills
- Background in the healthcare, hospital, nursing home, or commercial janitorial space.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards related to cleanliness and sanitation.
Work Environment
- This is a union job
- Due to the nature of the work, COVID-19 vaccination and other immunizations are required.
- The role involves both onsite supervision and remote engagement with the broader team.
- Minimal travel is required within the local area for in-person client and for ABM meetings.
