  • ELS is hiring for the position of Maintenance Worker-55+ Manufactured Home Community-Federal Way, WA in Federal Way, Washington.

What you’ll do

This position is year round/20 hours per week (3-5 days per week). Shifts can vary during summer pool season from May-Sept.

As a Maintenance Worker you perform various maintenance duties requiring some technical/trouble shooting skills and hands on manual labor. Pool/Spa chemical testing and troubleshooting. Previous experience with senior 55+ residents is a plus. Must be comfortable using computer for time clock entries and monthly mandatory safety/compliance classes. Must be able to work independently as well as part of the Team. Strong work ethic and Customer Service required.

Your job will include

  • Work closely with management to maintain a clean, safe and appealing property.
  • Attend morning staff meetings to communicate daily vendor appointments and required work.
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with management and staff and work closely with them on all special maintenance projects.
  • Maintain grounds and common areas and keep them free from trash and debris. Clean pool/clubhouse restrooms and main area as needed.
  • Follow all company safety policies and use of required PPE.
  • Weed, and edge common areas as needed.
  • Conduct minor plumbing and electrical repairs as needed.
  • You may be required to move heavy objects and will drive maintenance truck or golf cart to various locations on the property.
  • Monitor/ control maintenance inventory and supplies, maintain clean shop.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Skills & experience you need

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Pool/spa knowledge or ability to learn and/or obtain CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certificate.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and lift up to 50 pounds if needed.
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record and current auto insurance.
  • Willing to be on call for emergencies that arise after hours and coverage for co-worker's time off.

Estimated compensation for this position in the states of CA, CO, IL, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NY, VT and WA is

Hourly: $20.82 - $21.42

The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. A salary offer will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to the base pay and our benefits, some positions are eligible for bonuses, sales commissions, or incentive pay.
