Who You Are

As a Sr. Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with a timely and accurate close process, as well as the production of the internal management reporting package. You will assist the closing process by analyzing ledger records, preparing journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and providing a variety of standard reports. In the Sr. Accountant role, you will also be responsible for providing insight and solutions for more efficient daily transaction processing and consistency by collaborating within the Accounting and Finance department, as well as cross-functionally across the organization.

What You're Good At

  • Assist in the month-end close process and support the proper and timely recording of transactions in the general ledger in accordance with US GAAP and company policies
  • Prepare and submit monthly balance sheet reconciliations along with necessary support
  • Review monthly ledger transactions and validate dimensional accuracy and consistency
  • Assist with the preparation of the internal income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flow by providing a variety of standard reports
  • Participate in the financial audit process, including gathering supporting documentation and preparing necessary schedules
  • Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting
  • Work closely with finance and other accounting team members to ensure ledger data usability
  • Assist with more complex accounting projects and process improvement initiatives as needed
  • Ensure policies and processes are well documented, applied consistently, and broadly understood
  • Perform technical accounting research as required
  • Publish and maintain the Corporate Accounting close calendar

What You Contribute

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA or CPA Candidate Required
  • 5+ years accounting experience
  • 2+ years’ experience with public accounting firm, preferred
  • Strong Excel skills (SUMIF, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, MATCH, PivotTables, data organization, etc.)
  • Experience with an ERP or financial reporting and control system (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics D365, OneStream)
  • Knowledge of GAAP standards
  • Ability to build strong internal/external relationships
  • Is an excellent communicator, adaptable and a quick learner
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive and able to anticipate the results of actions and inactions.
  • Experience operating in a SOX control and/or PCAOB environment a plus
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize tasks at hand
  • Entrepreneurial drive and spirit to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
