Senior Product Manager, AI Products

About The Role
Who You Are
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead The Lab, Storyblocks' AI product team. This role owns conversational search and our MCP connector, which puts the Storyblocks library inside AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT.
Conversational search gets customers to the right result when they describe a mood or an idea rather than a keyword, including searches that used to come back empty. Our MCP connector brings the Storyblocks library into the tools they already work in, so finding the right clip doesn't mean stepping away from the project.
This role works with engineers, data scientists, designers, researchers, marketers, and analysts on a cross-functional squad. It is a high-impact, high-visibility role, responsible for helping to define where our AI products go and then rallying the cross-functional team to experiment and deliver business results.
This role leads The Lab and reports to Scott Simpson, VP Product. It can be based out of anywhere in the US.
*Note: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Storyblocks does not sponsor employment visas
What You'll Do
- Own the roadmap for The Lab — Storyblocks' AI product team — translating open-ended questions about search quality, memory, and MCP distribution into a prioritized plan with clear business impact.
- Define and track the metrics that matter for AI product quality, distinguishing real signals from vanity KPIs and iterating when things don't go as planned.
- Partner directly with engineering, data science, design, research, and PMM to align on OKRs and rally the team to deliver against them.
- Drive experimentation at real volume, designing pre/post and A/B tests using tools like Statsig, LaunchDarkly, Optimizely, or Amplitude.
- Use qualitative research — customer interviews, usability studies, and discovery sessions — to inform prioritization and product direction.
- Navigate complex launches that require legal review and third-party platform approval (e.g. OpenAI plugin store, Claude MCP directory).
- Reason about what an AI interaction costs and what that implies for packaging, pricing, and product strategy.
- Communicate roadmap and priorities clearly to audiences ranging from engineering and data science to executive leadership.

What we Bring to the Table
- Competitive and fair compensation: We believe in fair pay, meaning equal pay for equal work. For each title, we consistently apply competitive salary bands based on market data and benchmarks, reviewed twice a year. What you've been paid before, fear of conflict, or willingness to negotiate does not play a part in determining your pay.
- The annual base salary range for this position is $160,000 – $175,000. Placement within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: knowledge, skills, years and depth of experience, and equity with internal team members.
- 401(k) retirement plan: We offer both a Traditional and Roth 401(k) with a company match.
- Company-paid medical: Our medical, dental and vision premiums are covered 100% for you and your dependents.
- Paid parental leave: We support all paths to parenthood. Birthing parents receive up to 12 weeks of paid medical recovery leave plus 4 weeks of paid bonding leave (up to 16 weeks total). Non-birthing parents receive 4 weeks of paid bonding leave. Parents welcoming a child through adoption, surrogacy, or foster placement receive up to 12 weeks of paid bonding leave.
- Unlimited vacation: At Storyblocks we take vacation seriously. That means take the time off when you need it. Don't worry about tracking hours or accounting for partial days. Typically, employees take about three or four weeks each year. Plus, two company-wide week breaks in July and December.
- Workplace benefits and perks: We are fully remote and have company and team events.
- Company-sponsored mentorship and growth: We encourage attending meetups and are happy to host them as well. We also have a leadership coach, on staff, available to all employees to enhance your professional development.
- Employee perks: We help employees maintain work-life balance and honor their contributions to the organization by offering resources such as a financial wellness program, a subscription service that offers unlimited deliveries from thousands of eligible restaurants with $0 delivery, and a recognition and rewards program that celebrates their accomplishments.
- Casual Work Environment: Sure we all get dressed up once in a while, but in general we want you to be comfortable at company events – whatever that means to you (flip-flops, jeans, etc.).
