About the Role

East Midlands Shared Services (EMSS) is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Systems Administration Officer to join our Systems Administration Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in systems administration, business applications, data management, and customer support within a collaborative shared services environment.

Working as part of a dedicated team, you will help ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely administration of key business systems supporting HR, Payroll, Finance, and other corporate services. You will contribute to maintaining data integrity, supporting users, resolving system queries, and helping deliver continuous service improvements.

This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in systems administration, business applications support, data management, or IT-related service delivery.

About You

  • GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Have clear communication skills including a good telephone manner and the ability to engage and communicate with colleagues, customers and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Be competent in using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook and able to produce accurate work to deadlines.
  • An understanding of IT systems and system support, with a willingness to learn new processes and technologies.
  • Excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
  • Work well both independently and as part of a team.
