About The Role

HR Generalist

๐Ÿ“ Tbilisi (2-4 days in the office) | Reporting to Global Head of HR

About Elect Capital

Elect Capital is changing how SMEs access funding. We provide fast, flexible working capital loans, business loans, and merchant cash advances โ€” no red tape, no slow decisions. Live across the UK, Australia, Canada, and the US, and scaling fast, we give SMEs the speed and flexibility traditional lenders can't.

๐ŸŽฏ Our Mission

We exist to give SMEs the capital and confidence to grow โ€” fast, fair, and friction-free. Every ambitious business deserves a real shot at growth, not months of paperwork. We've built lending for speed, without cutting corners on fairness. When SMEs win, we win.

The Role

We're building out our People function and are looking for an HR Generalist to be right at the centre of it. You'll be based in Tbilisi and report directly to the Head of People, but this isn't a Tbilisi-only remit: you'll own People and HR operations across all of our global offices. This is a hands-on, admin-heavy role for someone who wants a genuine, all-round introduction to HR: recruitment, onboarding, HR operations, compliance, and process improvement will all become your day to day.

It's a strong next step for someone early in their HR career. Whether you're taking your first real step (0-1 years) or you've already got a couple of years of generalist experience under your belt (2-3 years), you'll get real ownership early. We're at a pivotal moment and have the freedom to shape the function and scale our HR Ops!

What youโ€™ll be working on

HR operations & admin

  • Own employee records for our people across every office in our HRIS (BambooHR): contracts, personal data, and documentation kept complete, filed, and audit-ready
  • Prepare and issue all HR documentations: employment contracts, amendments and reference letters; track probation periods and other key T&Cs, and manage all other paperwork related to HR
  • Administer benefits, leave, and support monthly payroll input where needed. Coordinating with internal and external stakeholder, vendors and providers where needed; Maintain our HR inbox and triage any requests or queries
  • Collate and maintain people data (e.g. headcount, probation rates, attrition etc.) and turn it into actionable insights

Onboarding & offboarding

  • Support our onboarding process: pre-boarding checklists, first-day logistics, orientation, 30/60/90-day induction check-ins and probation processes
  • Own offboarding end-to-end: exit checklists, exit interviews and final paperwork
  • Support our Talent Partner with hiring logistics and coordination duties where needed

Process improvement

  • Map all current HR processes, spot inefficiencies and inconsistencies, and build better, more scalable versions
  • Build the playbooks and checklists so that any process repeatable and easy to follow as we grow, and look for ways to automate process within the team as well as cross-teams (leveraging AI where possible)
  • Support any employee experience aspects; this ranges from team activities and socials, engagement and creation of new projects

๐Ÿ” What youโ€™ll bring

  • We're ideally looking for 1-3 years of hands-on HR experience, but are just as open to someone taking their first real step into HR (0-1 years) if you can show you're ready to own things quickly. Salary will flex within our range to match what you bring
  • A degree in HR, business, psychology, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience
  • Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail; comfortable owning admin-heavy processes end-to-end without things slipping
  • A proactive, process-minded approach; you notice when something could work better and enjoy actually building the fix
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Georgian.
  • Comfortable with Google Workspace, and quick to pick up new tools (ATS/HRIS).

Our Offer

  • A competitive salary between 2,300 and 2,700 GEL monthly, based on your expertise.
  • 25 days of annual leave
  • Broad exposure across the People function with ownership of culture, onboarding, compliance, and process design.
  • Collaborating with our global workforce spanning the UK, Georgia, Australia, Canada, Cyprus, UAE, and US.
