OVERVIEW

Retail Associate

The Retail Associate is responsible for assisting customers, providing product information, and delivering a positive shopping experience. They help maintain store appearance by organizing displays, restocking shelves, and ensuring cleanliness. The role includes processing transactions accurately through the point-of-sale system and handling returns or exchanges. Retail associates also support inventory management and monitor stock levels. Additionally, they work collaboratively with team members to meet sales goals and ensure customer satisfaction.

Coat Check

The Coat Check Attendant is responsible for providing courteous and efficient coat and personal item storage services for guests. This role serves as an important point of contact, creating a positive first and last impression by ensuring guests' belongings are handled securely, organized properly, and returned promptly. The Coat Check Attendant delivers amplified service while maintaining an orderly and secure coat check area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist guests with product selection while providing friendly and engaging customer service
  • Maintain attractive merchandise displays, restock shelves, and keep the shop clean and organized
  • Process sales transactions accurately, including handling cash, returns, and exchanges
  • Monitor inventory levels and help prevent loss by following casino security procedures
  • Create a welcoming environment by representing the casino brand and ensuring a positive shopping experience
  • Promote featured items, special offers, and casino-branded merchandise to increase sales
  • Answer guest inquiries about products, store policies, and casino amenities
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily sales targets and operational goals
  • Follow all compliance, safety, and regulatory standards specific to the casino environment

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Demonstrated experience in cash handling, including accurately processing transactions in a fast-paced environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven ability to maintain sustained attention and focus for extended periods
  • Strong data entry and order processing skills
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications preferred
  • Extensive experience in cashiering operations
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Solid basic math skills
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, Provincial, and Gaming Commission.
  • Prior experience opening new properties/outlets preferred.
  • Must be Nineteen (19) years of age.
  • Must be able to work on holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds or more.
  • Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The work environmental characteristics described here may be representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy.
  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a professional office setting, but there may be times when you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.
