Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring that business processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with CDI’s strategic goals. The position manages a team that works Monday – Friday, including some Saturdays and Sunday’s, and oversee’s 3 shifts per day, including day shift and a night shift.
Job Description
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the CDI’s overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with other executives to set long-term goals and objectives.
Operational Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the company, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. This includes a day warehouse, receiving, distribution and night warehouse teams.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational performance.
- Ensure warehouse is clean and safe.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational success and identify areas for improvement.
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration across departments.
- Ensure all new hires and temporary staff are fully trained
Financial Oversight
- Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Utilize data and analytics to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
Risk Management
- Identify potential risks to operations and develop mitigation strategies.
- Implement and follow all safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Customer Focus
- Ensure that operations are aligned with customer needs and expectations.
- Work closely with sales and customer service teams to enhance customer satisfaction.
Technology and Innovation
- Leverage technology to improve operational processes and outcomes.
- Stay informed about industry trends and innovations that could impact operations.
- Strong knowledge of Roadnet, Delivery Now and Samsara.
Supply Chain and Logistics
- Oversee supply chain and logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products and services.
- Develop strategies to optimize inventory management and distribution.
Reporting and Communication
- Provide regular reports to the executive team on operational performance and progress toward goals.
- Communicate operational strategies and initiatives to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Extensive experience in operations management, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.

While performing the duties of this job the associate is regularly exposed normal business office environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
