About The Role

ABOUT THE ROLE

You'll own core backend infrastructure at a pre-seed AI-native fintech startup building operations tooling for private markets. Working closely with a small, high-caliber founding team, you'll be responsible for the systems that power fund accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and treasury automation, with a strong emphasis on permissions, auditability, traceability, and observability across both hosted and self-hosted deployments.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Build and maintain backend infrastructure covering permissions, auditability, traceability, and observability.
  • Oversee deployment architectures for hosted and self-hosted environments using infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Continuously improve system reliability, performance, and security in production.
  • Partner with product teams to ship features while upholding high quality standards.
  • Drive AI-native development practices that enable rapid, high-quality releases.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 1 to 6 years of professional backend development experience.
  • Production experience building backend services with TypeScript and NestJS.
  • Production experience with PostgreSQL and Prisma.
  • Experience managing deployments with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
  • A track record of improving production reliability, security, performance, observability, or auditability.
  • Practical hands-on experience with AI, ML, LLMs, or AI-native systems.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment with a small team.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Salary range: 70,000 to 110,000 EUR annually.
  • Visa sponsorship is available.

LOCATION

On-site in Berlin, Germany. This role requires in-person presence and is not available on a remote basis.
