Senior iOS/Android Software Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a Senior Android Software Engineer to join a small, product-focused team building a consumer fintech mobile app. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to ship meaningful features that directly impact users' financial lives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design, implement, and maintain the core Android application.
• Help build and scale platform-level architecture and infrastructure.
• Contribute to product design decisions and overall direction.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Android engineers.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 5 years of mobile app development experience, with 2 or more years shipping production Android apps professionally.
• At least 3 years of experience working in a startup environment.
• Strong Kotlin expertise, including Jetpack Compose and modern architecture patterns (MVVM or Clean Architecture).
• Experience with backend data formats and APIs common in mobile: protobufs, REST, and gRPC.
• Hands-on experience integrating Firebase services, including Authentication, Firestore or Realtime Database, and Cloud Messaging.
• Proficiency with Android testing strategies: unit tests, instrumentation tests, and UI tests.
• Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines for mobile app development.
• Demonstrated history of mentorship or technical leadership with junior engineers.
• Background building consumer-facing mobile applications (not exclusively B2B).
• Strong university-level CS or engineering background.
• Clear, effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Salary: $160,000 to $200,000 USD annually.
• Visa sponsorship is available.
