The Opportunity: The Hospitality Services Associate, Cart Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, organization, and readiness of the Club’s golf carts, vehicles, and related areas. This position plays an important role in delivering the high level of service and attention to detail expected by The Abaco Club’s members and guests.

The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining the fleet to a consistently high standard, assist members and guests with their golf equipment, and support the Golf Operations team in providing an exceptional overall experience.

Duties and Functions

• Clean, wash, sanitize, and detail golf carts to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
• Clean and maintain cart interiors and exteriors, including seats, floors, steering wheels, storage compartments, and other high-touch areas.
• Inspect golf carts before and after use for cleanliness, damage, safety, and general condition.
• Report mechanical problems, damage, or maintenance concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor.
• Ensure golf carts are properly staged, organized, charged/fueled as applicable, and ready for daily play.
• Maintain the cart staging area and surrounding work areas in a clean, organized, and professional condition.
• Assist members and guests with golf bags, clubs, and other equipment in a courteous and professional manner.
• Load and unload golf bags and ensure members’ equipment is handled carefully.
• Replenish cart supplies, including towels, scorecards, ice, sand, and other amenities as required.
• Assist with the collection, parking, and organization of golf carts throughout the day.
• Follow all Club safety procedures and operational standards.
• Provide prompt, friendly, and professional service to members, guests, and fellow employees.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct consistent with The Abaco Club’s standards.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by Golf Operations management.

Qualification Standards

Previous experience in golf, hospitality, private clubs, detailing, groundskeeping, or a similar service-oriented position is preferred.

Previous private-club or luxury hospitality experience is an advantage.

Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.

Friendly, professional, courteous, and service-oriented personality.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic.

Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.

Ability to safely operate and maneuver golf carts.

Physically able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift, and move golf bags and equipment as required.

Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in hot, humid, and changing weather conditions.

Willingness and ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts according to Club operations.

Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and established Club standards.

Must maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times.

Valid driver’s license is an advantage where applicable to Club operations.

Must be legally authorized to work in The Bahamas.
