About The Role

The AVP, Delivery Lead for Property and Casualty Pricing Tools is a hands-on individual contributor within the Transformation & Delivery Office (TDO), responsible for shaping, prioritizing, structuring, and delivering initiatives across the commercial pricing tools portfolio. This includes tools that support advanced pricing models for new business guidance premiums, as well as tools that enable pricing changes at renewal. This role partners closely with actuarial, underwriting, and technology leaders to translate pricing strategy into an actionable delivery agenda and organize work for efficient and effective execution.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Leadership & Ownership

  • Lead delivery of key initiatives across the pricing tools portfolio, including new business guidance premium tools and renewal pricing change capabilities.
  • Operate as a hands-on leader who can step directly into complex initiatives to bring structure, clarity, and forward momentum.
  • Help create practical roadmaps that connect pricing strategy to delivery execution.
  • Structure work in a way that improves clarity, feasibility, and execution efficiency.

Business Partnership & Demand Shaping

  • Partner closely with actuarial, underwriting, and technology leaders to identify needs, opportunities, pain points, and future priorities across the pricing tool suite.
  • Support prioritization decisions by clarifying value, sequencing, dependencies, and delivery implications.
  • Help create practical roadmaps that connect actuarial model development and pricing strategy to tool delivery execution.
  • Help ensure requirements, business process needs, model interactions, and delivery approaches are aligned before execution begins.
  • Serve as a key connector between actuarial intent and delivery execution.

JIRA, Work Management & Delivery Discipline

  • Own JIRA work packet organization and related work management practices for the pricing tools portfolio.
  • Maintain strong discipline around backlog organization, dependency visibility, progress tracking, and execution transparency.

Planning, Prioritization & Portfolio Visibility

  • Support business case development, roadmap decisions, and investment discussions related to the pricing tool portfolio.
  • Surface key decisions, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs in a timely and transparent manner.
  • Provide leadership with clear visibility into planned work, progress, issues, and required decisions.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Build strong working relationships with actuarial, underwriting, and technology leaders, as well as analysts, architects, governance, and product platform leaders.
  • Communicate clearly on priorities, plans, risks, dependencies, and delivery progress.
  • Help ensure alignment across stakeholders on importance, delivery, and success measures.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve work prioritization, design, and delivery across the pricing tool suite.
  • Bring structure and discipline to recurring delivery challenges and create repeatable ways of working.
  • Use lessons learned from delivery efforts to improve future planning and execution.
  • Help advance a more efficient, scalable, and business-aligned model for delivering pricing capabilities over time.
  • Hands-on, structured leader with strong business judgment, practical problem-solving ability, and a clear, collaborative, results-oriented approach focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in close partnership with actuarial, business, and technology teams.
  • Strong understanding of how to shape business demand into structured delivery plans, roadmaps, and executable work, with solid prioritization, sequencing, and dependency management skills.
  • Experience working on pricing tools, decision support capabilities, actuarial model deployment, or related platforms.
  • Experience working with JIRA/Rally and related delivery and planning tools.
  • Ability to work effectively across actuarial, underwriting, technology, governance, and funding stakeholders, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills in a matrixed environment.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.
  • Significant experience in program and product delivery, pricing tool development, underwriting transformation, or related roles.
  • Experience in commercial insurance or P&C insurance is preferred, with a strong understanding of pricing mechanics, guidance premiums, segmentation, pricing models and renewal rate change strategies.

The pay range for the role is $125,000 to $175,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
