As a Factories & Installation Engineer – Plant Projects , you will
- Coordinate and facilitate the procurement, implementation, installation, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment;
- Manage suppliers of critical manufacturing equipment in collaboration with stakeholders in Brazil and Denmark;
- Review and challenge equipment designs, specifications, and technical solutions provided by suppliers and partners;
- Prepare and review technical specifications for external suppliers based on stakeholder requirements;
- Establish agreements with suppliers and service providers in alignment with relevant stakeholders;
- Support and execute equipment installations in collaboration with internal teams and external service providers;
- Monitor and follow up on project budgets, supporting efficient project execution and delivery;
- Ensure the proper handover of projects and equipment to the responsible teams;
- Conduct analyses and evaluate equipment performance using data and engineering expertise;
- Ensure technical documentation is accurate and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements;
- Ensure equipment complies with the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards;
- Participate in and lead project teams, ensuring activities are delivered in accordance with established project management standards;
- Apply a customer-focused mindset when supporting internal production stakeholders, promoting process excellence and knowledge sharing across teams;
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with NOV's Quality Management System and HSE policies.
What you need to have
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field;
- Solid experience in a similar role within a high-tech manufacturing or R&D environment;
- Proven experience managing suppliers of complex manufacturing equipment;
- Proven experience leading and working within project teams, with a strong track record of on-time project delivery;
- Hands-on experience with the installation and commissioning of equipment in a manufacturing environment, working alongside service providers;
- Solid experience reviewing designs and technical solutions provided by suppliers and partners;
- Strong ability to gather, analyze, summarize, and prioritize information to support sound decision-making;
- A proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Portuguese;
- Availability for national and international travel.
Nice to have
- M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
- Project Management and/or Six Sigma certification;
- Experience with data-driven root cause analysis;
- Experience managing complex engineering projects;
- Experience with heavy machinery installation equipment, such as cranes and lifting equipment;
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies;
- Familiarity with CAD tools and manufacturing documentation systems.
