Swan Valley Co-op is hiring a full time Maintenance Coordinator for our Home Centre locations in Swan River and The Pas.

What you’ll do

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to

  • Plan and coordinate fleet, power mobile equipment and facilities maintenance for both Home Centres.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate software and hardcopy records for maintenance activities and communicating results to applicable parties.
  • Ensure fleet, power mobile equipment (PME) and facilities are well maintained and conduct repairs/maintenance when required.
  • Follow procedures for accident and fire prevention, WHMIS, TDG, lock out tag out (LOTO), National Safety Code (NSC) and other safety procedures.
  • Participate in safety training and further development of the safety program.
  • Assist in incident investigations when required and ensure compliance with all legal and environmental requirements through documented due diligence.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • You have the ability/willingness to work in all weather conditions as required.
  • You are willing to travel and work out of town as required.
  • You are willing to work a flexible work schedule based on the demands of the position.
  • You have the ability to liaise with Team Leaders/Members as well as contractors in a professional manner.
  • You have the ability to problem solve/troubleshoot.
  • You have a valid class 5 driver’s license.
  • You model expected safety practices in your work.
  • Any certification/trade would be considered an asset.
  • You have the ability to work alone.
