ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Field Logistics Coordinator will support the Equipment and Cylinders Coordinator to ensure Intertek’s rental fleet is fully maintained, certified and ready for offshore deployment. The role will prioritise the utilisation of Intertek‑owned equipment and cylinders to maximise asset return. Where internal availability is limited, the coordinator will oversee the sourcing and management of rentals from approved subcontractors.
The role also provides operational support across the pillar, ensuring efficient administration of systems relating to personnel logistics, training requirements and client interactions, including quotations, purchase orders, communications and billing. This will involve close collaboration with Field Services management and a broad understanding of cross‑pillar activities and systems.
While the responsibilities outlined represent the core of the role, the successful candidate will be flexible and responsive to evolving business needs.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Administer and optimise the rental fleet in line with approved methods, certification requirements and client needs
- Manage incoming work by accurately registering jobs in company systems and maintaining schedules for maintenance, repairs and calibrations
- Ensure all rental cylinders and equipment comply with mandatory certification, with records maintained accordingly
- Control job documentation, obtaining client pre‑approval for third‑party work and coordinating with procurement and billing teams to manage POs and invoicing
- Ensure end‑to‑end integration of client requests through to billing within the LIMS system
- Support the development and ongoing maintenance of client reports and system housekeeping (planners, trackers, dashboards, training and document records)
- Deliver high standards of customer service, acting as a positive company representative and driving continuous improvement
- Support commercial performance through income forecasting against budget targets
- Prepare initial quotes and support integrated, multi‑service quotations where required
- Identify opportunities to add value and upsell services where appropriate
