
Legal Counsel (Senior)

About The Role
Join Quadient, a global leader in digital transformation and automation processes. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will support the rapidly growing Lockers business in North America, providing practical legal guidance and collaborating with various teams. This is a fixed-term position with the possibility of extension.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial agreements, including hardware sales, installation, maintenance, and service agreements.
- Provide day-to-day legal support to Sales and Operations teams, delivering clear, practical, and risk-based legal advice.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to the business, and support the implementation and evolution of company policies, processes, and governance frameworks.
**Required**
- Qualified lawyer and member in good standing with a Canadian provincial or territorial law society.
- 5 to 7 years of post-qualification experience, including significant commercial contracting experience.
- Strong background negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements.
- Experience supporting real estate-related transactions and commercial arrangements involving hardware, leasing, installation, or service agreements.
- Working knowledge of software and SaaS agreements.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, drafting, and negotiation skills.
**Preferred Experience**
- In-house legal experience within a multinational or internationally operating organization.
- Experience supporting operations across multiple jurisdictions.
- U.S. legal qualification or experience working with U.S. business operations.
- Experience managing disputes or addressing commercial collection/non-payment matters.

**Language Requirements**
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
- French language skills are considered an asset but are not required.

- Occasional travel within Canada and the United States may be required.
