Grants Officer - Rural Payments

Join the Woodland Trust, the UK's largest woodland conservation charity, as a Grants Officer - Rural Payments. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the Land & Property team and other connected teams in Nature Recovery to help deliver plans to reduce adverse herbivore impacts and improve Woodland Ecological Condition. You will identify and secure funding, build relationships with key stakeholders, provide expert advice, lead the administration of environmental funding schemes, and maintain accurate land and scheme records. This is a hybrid position with a mix of home working and office attendance in Grantham, Lincolnshire.

• Identifying, securing, and maximizing income from government and non-government funding streams to support woodland creation and conservation.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including DEFRA, the Rural Payments Agency, and other sector partners.
• Providing expert advice and year-round support to Estate Managers, Site Managers, and regional teams on grant opportunities, applications, scheme delivery, and compliance.
