As the Senior Manager of People Operations, you will take full ownership of core People Operations topics, design and implement automated workflows, coordinate payroll, maintain compliance, and support employee inquiries.   • Take full, end-to-end ownership of core People Operations topics, including onboarding, offboarding, contracts, leaves, absence, payroll, immigration cases and documentation.
  • Design, build, and roll out automated, AI-supported workflows and integrations across our tools to eliminate manual work and connect our systems.
  • Coordinate monthly payroll across Germany, the UK and the Netherlands and in the near future, Luxembourg, with our external providers.
  • Experience supporting a varied, international workforce across different contract types, legal entities, locations and working models
  • Hands-on ownership of an HRIS — Personio ideally, or a comparable system you have configured and maintained — plus confidence connecting tools such as Notion to build efficient workflows
  • Excellent judgment and communication skills, with the ability to act as a trusted advisor to employees, managers and senior stakeholders
  • Fluency in English; German is a plus
  • Strong data literacy: you can build reliable reports, spot inconsistencies and investigate until the numbers are trustworthy
  • Payroll coordination experience with external providers in at least one European country, owning accurate inputs, deadlines and provider relationships
  • 4+ years of experience in People Operations or HR administration, ideally in a fast-paced, international or scaling startup environment
  • Proven end-to-end ownership of operational topics
  • A strong track record in automation, including designing and implementing workflow integrations or AI-supported solutions in an HR or operations context
  • Knowledge of German employment law and compliance requirements; UK or Luxembourgish employment law is a plus
