Principal Software Engineer

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will drive platform strategy, untangle complex problems, and influence all areas of engineering. You will work closely with leadership, product, and engineers to deliver high-quality code and mentor others. Your first priority will likely be mobile, but your impact will span the entire organization.

• Deep technical judgment you can demonstrate on demand, from architecture and trade-off decisions down to the details of the code
• A track record of driving technical initiatives across multiple teams: spotting the problem, winning support from leadership and peers, and landing an outcome the organization still benefits from
• Clear technical writing (RFCs, design documents, architecture decision records) that gets teams aligned without a meeting
• Hands-on fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or Copilot: you plan and delegate work to agents, verify what comes back, and refine your setup so the next task gets easier, for yourself and for others
• Strong front-end experience, particularly with React and TypeScript
• Experience growing senior engineers through deliberate mentorship
• Experience with GraphQL or Ruby on Rails in production
• Production mobile experience, ideally React Native, or native iOS/Android depth you could bring to a React Native codebase quickly
