What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting residents with daily living, wellbeing, and independence
  • Providing personalised assistance to older adults, people with disabilities, or those needing extra help
  • Helping residents build skills and maintain hobbies, routines, and social connections
  • Delivering support in a residential care home environment, including communal areas, activity spaces, and personal rooms
  • Encouraging participation in meaningful activities, social events, and community engagement
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals to ensure high‑quality, person‑centred care.

Local Government Reorganisation

The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire from April 2028.

If you are successful in your application, you will initially join Lancashire County Council. However, as part of the planned transition, your employment will transfer to one of the new unitary councils from April 2028, subject to the implementation of the reorganisation and relevant employment legislation.
