Manager, Cabin Crew Training

A. ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Accountable for the Flight Operations Training Department in coordination and administration activities for Cabin Crew across both turboprop and jet Operations.
• Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of Flight Operations in AirBorneo.
• Responsible for Cabin Crew performance and training standards for all fleet types operating turboprop and jet routes.

B. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Comply with applicable regulations as well as Company policies, procedures, and standards for both turboprop and jet operations.
• Assist CPTS in supervising Cabin Crew training, checks Initial and Recurrent Training, and evaluations to comply with CAAM regulations and directives, ensuring tailored modules for both turboprop and jet operations meet all regulatory requirements.
• Assist in updating Cabin Crew Training Manual for all operational domains.
• Assist in establishing training syllabus, check forms for all required training (including fleet transitions between turboprops and jet aircraft), and advise CPTS on amendments to relevant regulations.
• Responsible for arrangement and providing assistance to CPTS in the selection process of new cabin crew for both turboprop and jet fleets.
• Assist in updating, recording, and storage of Cabin Crew training files to the required regulatory standards.
• Maintain familiarisation and updates on the latest developments, technology, and techniques in Cabin Crew training, flight standards, Safety, and Security, including the evaluation of new training equipment for turboprop and jet aircraft.
• Review, develop, and recommend cost-effective improvements to training methods, contracts, and changes to safety equipment on board all aircraft types.
• Assist the Training Department and ensure that a common standard applies across all sectors.
• Define training requirements and ensure training facilities and equipment fulfill regulatory and company requirements for both turboprop and jet operations.
• Plan all ongoing and long-term training and recurrent activities.
• Monitor Cabin Crew and recurrent training across all operational fleets.
• Assist CPTS for regulatory and non-regulatory training programmes.
• Perform other duties assigned by the CPTS.

C. AUTHORITY

• Authorised to perform cabin performance checks on turboprop and jet fleet operations.
• Authorised to access training files and records.
• Authorised to update the Training Programme and Syllabus pertaining to Cabin Crew for both turboprop and jet operations.

D. DELEGATION OF DUTIES

• Administrative & Operational Alternate: Exec, Cabin Crew Training acts as administrative and operational alternate for the Manager, Cabin Crew Training.
• Regulatory Delegation: In the absence of the Manager, Cabin Crew Training, duties and operational responsibilities shall be delegated to CPTS.

E. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Educational & Experience Requirements (must meet one of the following)

• SPM or STPM with a minimum of 9 years of uninterrupted and active in-flight experience as a Cabin Crew; OR
• Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of working experience in the Aviation Industry; OR
• Degree in any field with a minimum of 1 year of working experience in the Aviation Industry.

Additional Requirements

• Must be AirBorneo permanent Cabin Crew.
• Must have a valid license/rating on the relevant fleet type (turboprop & jets).
• Minimum 4 years of experience as Cabin Crew In-Charge.
• Must be knowledgeable in Cabin Crew matters pertaining to both turboprop and jet operations.
• Possess good knowledge, skills, and working experience of the airline industry.
• Possess strong, visible, and supportive management and leadership skills.
• Good command of the English language.
• Must be knowledgeable of cabin safety, rules, and regulations, as well as Cabin Crew matters under CAAM requirements governing both turboprop and jet operations.
