Assistant Manager – Market Strategy And Planning

Hayleys Consumer is a subsidiary of Hayleys PLC, which markets and distributes a wide range of world-renowned brands in Sri Lanka. We market brands such as Head & Shoulders, Pantene, Gillette, Olay, Pampers, Sun Up, Whisper, Mabroc & Talawakelle tea brands, Govi Aruna product etc.

Hayleys Consumer has been representing these brands in Sri Lanka for the past several years. Many of our brands are leaders in their respective categories.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement customer and shopper marketing strategies aligned with commercial objectives.
• Lead customer activations, promotional campaigns and in-store visibility initiatives across relevant channels.
• Translate shopper, customer and market insights into actionable growth plans.
• Collaborate with Sales, customers, agencies and other stakeholders to ensure effective execution.
• Manage budgets, monitor programme performance and recommend improvements based on results.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management or a related discipline; a postgraduate or professional qualification would be an advantage.
• 5–7 years of experience in customer marketing, shopper marketing, trade marketing or a related role, preferably within FMCG.
• Strong understanding of retail channels, shopper behaviour and customer activation.
• Strong commercial, analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• A strategic and results-driven individual with sound leadership and project-management capabilities.
