Apprentice IT Network Technician – Lab Broadband

Within the Broadband team, the assigned responsibilities will involve working on IT racks in a server room as part of the installation of new equipment and the maintenance of existing infrastructure.

What You Will Be Doing

• Install equipment in technical cabinets.
• Set up and test physical connections on the Broadband Lab’s IT network.
• Perform first-level configuration on equipment to make installations operational.
• Update documentation (Visio diagrams, Confluence pages, etc.).
• Check and update labeling on equipment.
• Participate in inventory tracking and troubleshooting operations.

The network technologies used include optical fiber and coaxial, within the context of telecommunications operator networks.

What You Should Have

• Student enrolled in a 2 or 3 years university technical degree in Networks and Telecommunications (or equivalent), motivated by hands-on learning in a data center environment.
• Curious, with knowledge of network equipment and IT infrastructure.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and a good communicator.
• A good level of English is appreciated.
