YOUR IMPACT STARTS HERE

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the movement of materials in and out of the facility, including shipping, receiving, cross-docking, freight coordination, and warehouse support activities. This is a hands-on, people-focused role that works closely with production, purchasing, customer care, security, branch teams, and plant leadership to keep operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably.

WHAT YOU'LL BUILD & OWN

  • Lead, coach, and support shipping and receiving team members across shifts, including helping ensure strong communication between second and third shifts.
  • Ensure warehouse team members follow standard operating procedures for inbound and outbound shipments, including documentation, accuracy checks, and training for new operators.
  • Coordinate day-to-day shipping and receiving activity, including inbound and outbound freight, trailer scheduling, cross-dock operations, and carrier coordination.
  • Plan and manage shipping schedules to meet branch and customer delivery requirements.
  • Oversee accurate picking, packing, documentation, and shipment of export orders, including required U.S. Customs documentation and part classifications.
  • Ensure shipping and receiving documents, including bills of lading, are accurate and complete.
  • Partner with security to provide carrier direction and door assignments.
  • Oversee yard operations with a focus on safety, cleanliness, organization, and efficiency.
  • Manage the fork truck fleet, including operator training, equipment assignments, maintenance planning, and ensuring equipment remains in safe working condition.
  • Support shop floor operations by maintaining supplies and ensuring needed materials are available.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly lane audits and help research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Partner with the Customer Care team to resolve warehouse-related issues, expedites, and shipment concerns.
  • Support daily warehouse functions such as material receipt, order selection, freight routing, and one-step shipments.
  • Communicate with management, manufacturing, purchasing, customer care, and branch teams regarding material status, production planning, and shipping priorities.
  • Maintain accurate records, track key metrics, and identify improvement opportunities that support departmental goals.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment by reinforcing safety rules, PPE requirements, and safe work practices.
  • Report and document unsafe conditions that cannot be immediately corrected.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and participate in problem-solving activities that improve warehouse processes.
  • Model and promote Victaulic leadership values, company policies, and the established code of ethics.
  • Provide evening or weekend communication with team members or suppliers as needed.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, branch operations, or related environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or equivalent, preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Knowledge of and experience in using Lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement practices preferred.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule when business needs require.

Work Environment

This is a manufacturing floor–based role requiring frequent walking, standing, lifting, and hands-on interaction with equipment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams is essential.
