About The Role

Full-time | Permanent | On-site 

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the role 

As a Barbering Tutor, you’ll deliver our Level 4 Barbering programme, sharing your industry knowledge and practical experience to support students as they develop their skills and prepare for their careers. 

No previous teaching experience is required. We’ll provide you with the training, resources and ongoing support you need to succeed in the classroom, along with a prepared curriculum to guide your delivery. 

You’ll be responsible for: 

  • Delivering engaging practical and theory-based learning. 
  • Bringing the curriculum to life through your industry experience. 
  • Mentoring students and supporting their development. 
  • Monitoring student progress, engagement and achievement. 
  • Supporting students towards successful completion and employment outcomes. 
  • Ko wai koe | About you 
  • You’ll be an experienced barber who enjoys sharing your knowledge and supporting others to grow. 
  • You’ll bring: 
  • A nationally recognised Level 4 qualification in Commercial Barbering, or equivalent international qualification. 
  • At least three years of relevant industry experience. 
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills. 
  • A passion for supporting and developing the next generation of barbers. 
  • An Adult Teaching qualification would be advantageous, but is not essential.
