Sales Finance Manager

About The Role
Silvaco is looking for a Sales Finance Manager to help build out and own the sales finance function. This is a cross-functional role, partnering with sales, the business units, business development and marketing to develop and lead processes around forecasting and market data. This role will also be key in driving process improvements in Salesforce.
Create and run the forecasting process
- Help develop and drive a detailed forecasting process for both bookings and revenue. This includes helping lead the demand assessment process and meeting.
- Create and run the long-term forecasting process including the long-term market model and share assumptions
Help support and drive the business with sales analytics
- Support weekly revenue meetings to track progress to target with executives and key stakeholders and ensure the company meets or exceeds forecast.
- Analyze win/loss rates, pipeline creation and health and loss analysis
- Pricing analysis by product, product length and customer tier that will help pricing lists created with the business units
- Help create and maintain dashboards and reports including estimated bookings, revenue, pipeline and other analytics by products, regions and BUs.
Accounting support
- Help run revenue analytics and ensure revenue milestones are properly recognized and no issues with license revenue. Ensure any change orders or non-standard revenue recognition are properly reflected in the system
- Review and support the commission process, including making sure metrics are appropriate and measurable, setting quotas and forecasting commission spend
- Approve payment terms and work with the credit team with any issues that may arise
Sales Partnership
- Work to with sales and sales operations to ensure accuracy in Salesforce and that all calculations, reporting and dashboards are properly reflecting the business
- Stay up to date on what is happening in the field, including attending relevant meetings, meeting with sales people and following up on key action items
- Work with sales on deal structures including bundling, flows, renewals, IP re-use, contingent pricing
- Help manage the quoting process. Insure compliance with price lists and exceptions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or business related field.
- 4-6 years experience partnering with sales teams and running a forecasting process
- Experience with Salesforce including creating reports, structuring the system and system related processes.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead internal stakeholders by influence if needed.
- Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge, especially Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of accounting systems is preferred, especially Sage Intacct
- Understanding of ASC606 software revenue recognition is a plus
