Responsibilities

Client Tax Reporting

  • Assisting in the production of country specific Client Tax Reports
  • Processing error logs and maintaining acquisition data for accurate tax reports
  • Providing 1st level support for inquiries from client advisers
  • Continuously monitoring changes in domestic and international tax regulations, assessing their impact on existing tax rules sets and implement necessary adjustments to ensure accurate tax treatment
  • Contributing to tax-related projects by designing efficient solutions, delivering business requirements and supporting the implementation of new or enhanced processes

Tax Reclaim Service

  • Preparing and transmitting data files to the outsourcing provider
  • Monitoring of tax reclaim requests with the outsourcing provider
  • Ensuring the reimbursement chain to the clients
  • Providing 1st level support for inquiries from Client Advisers
  • Driving continuous improvement and development of the entire tax reclaim process to ensure efficiency and high quality

Regulatory Tax Reporting

  • Managing U.S. Qualified Intermediary (QI), FATCA, and CRS reporting, including timely and accurate submission of all regulatory reports to the related Federal Tax Administrations
  • Performing reconciliation and testing of tax data to ensure completeness and compliance with international and Swiss regulatory standards
  • Reviewing and maintaining rule sets for regulatory tax reportings, ensuring alignment with evolving legislation and internal policies
  • Implementing regulatory changes in processes and systems, collaborating with IT and compliance teams for technical integration
  • Acting as a key contact for internal stakeholders regarding QI, FATCA and CRS
  • Maintaining and regularly updating withholding tax rates for Swiss and Foreign clients in accordance with applicable Double Tax Treaties (DTT)
  • Reconciling, preparing and submitting Swiss stamp tax (Form 9) and supplementary withholding tax (Form 182) to the Swiss Federal Tax Administration (ESTV) on a quarterly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • Degree in Law or Economics or equivalent qualification
  • At least 3 years working experience in tax-related areas and good understanding of tax reporting and operational tax processes
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with high-quality standards and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to provide excellent service
  • Proactive work style with a strong customer focus
  • Fluent communication skills in English and German (written and spoken)
  • Good MS-Word and MS-Excel knowledge (Pivot tables, Vlookup functions etc)
  • Application Avaloq know-how is an advantage
