About The Role

About the role

The Senior People Business Partner for West Europe & New Markets combines proactive business partnering with end-to-end People Operations accountability across the assigned region (currently it is Spain, Italy and UK ). The role partners with leaders and managers to ensure the organization has the right capabilities, leadership practices and people processes to deliver business priorities, while maintaining reliable, compliant and consistent employee lifecycle services. The role also provides functional supervision and capability support for the People Business Partner covering the Baltics (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia).

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering and Organizational Capability

  • Build a trusted partnership with leaders in West Europe and New Markets, translating business priorities into practical people actions
  • Facilitate People Reviews and support competence, workforce and succession discussions, including follow-up of agreed actions
  • Coach leaders on team effectiveness, performance, feedback, employee relations and disciplinary matters, escalating complex cases when required
  • Ensure leaders execute the People & Culture annual wheel and other recurring people processes
  • Drive engagement survey follow-up and support leaders in defining and implementing meaningful action plans
  • Promote a culture grounded in the Company Values and the Leadership Principles through consistent manager guidance and everyday people practices

People Operations and Local Compliance

  • Own and coordinate the employee lifecycle for the assigned countries, including contracts, onboarding, reboarding, internal changes and offboarding
  • Ensure local employment law compliance and the timely maintenance of accurate employee documentation and HR records
  • Coordinate payroll inputs and partner with external payroll vendors, authorities and internal stakeholders to ensure complete and accurate delivery

Regional and Functional Leadership

  • Provide day-to-day functional supervision, prioritization and capability support to the People Business Partner covering the Baltics
  • Contribute to the continued development of the People Business Partner operating model, shared standards and cross-regional collaboration

Qualifications and Experience

  • A university degree in Human Resources, Labour Law, Psychology or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, including substantial experience as a People Business Partner in an international, multi-country environment
  • Strong working knowledge of employee lifecycle operations, employment law compliance, payroll coordination, compensation and benefits, and HR governance
  • Demonstrated ability to coach managers and facilitate People Reviews, talent and capability discussions, performance processes and complex employee relations cases
  • Ability to provide functional supervision, set priorities and build capability without relying solely on formal line authority
  • Strong stakeholder management, analytical judgment and change implementation skills
  • Business-oriented and pragmatic, with the confidence to challenge constructively and recommend clear solutions
  • Structured, accurate and accountable, able to balance operational detail with strategic priorities
  • Collaborative and culturally aware, with strong relationship-building skills across countries and functions
  • High integrity and discretion when handling sensitive employee and business information
  • Proactive, resilient and comfortable working in a changing environment with competing priorities
  • Fluent professional English and Spanish, written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel periodically within the assigned region and to other Avarda locations when business needs require
