About The Role

The Rehabilitation Therapy Supervisor supports the Clinical Director in the delivery of exceptional patient care within Rehabilitation Services. This role oversees the daily operations of an assigned rehabilitation area, ensuring efficient staffing, scheduling, resource management, quality outcomes, and staff development. The Supervisor serves as a clinical resource, mentor, and leader while maintaining a high standard of customer service, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

Clinical & Operational Leadership

  • Support the Clinical Director in providing high-quality rehabilitation services within the assigned area.
  • Manage day-to-day departmental operations, including staffing, patient scheduling, and supply management.
  • Monitor productivity and operational performance to ensure efficient workflow and quality patient outcomes.
  • Evaluate and adjust staffing schedules based on patient volume, staff mix, and departmental needs.
  • Communicate staff availability and scheduling updates with Intake and other key stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new programs and services within Rehabilitation Services.

Team Leadership & Staff Development

  • Recruit, interview, and assist in selecting qualified team members.
  • Provide onboarding, orientation, training, and ongoing education to ensure staff competence and professional growth.
  • Complete performance evaluations in accordance with organizational guidelines.
  • Monitor staff performance, attendance, and work quality.
  • Address performance concerns and support corrective action processes when necessary.
  • Serve as a clinical expert and resource for staff, encouraging independent problem-solving and professional development.
  • Recognize and reward exceptional performance and customer service.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Participate in budget planning and recommend cost-effective care delivery practices.
  • Operate within established budget parameters.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary resource utilization.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of services, supplies, and patient charges.
  • Support revenue reconciliation and charge correction processes when designated as a Revenue Lead.

Quality, Compliance & Customer Service

  • Demonstrate the organization's mission, vision, and core values in all interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and standards related to patient safety, health information, and healthcare delivery.
  • Lead customer service initiatives, process improvement activities, and outcome-focused programs.
  • Engage patients, families, and stakeholders to evaluate services and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Foster collaboration and communication across departments.
  • Participate in committees and special projects as assigned by leadership.

What You'll Need

Education

  • Degree from an accredited program in one of the following:
  • Physical Therapy (PT)
  • Occupational Therapy (OT)
  • Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
  • Recreation Therapy

Licensure & Certifications

  • Current professional license in the State of Indiana appropriate to discipline.
  • Current CPR certification.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical rehabilitation experience with a strong and well-established clinical background.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Two (2) years of supervision experience strongly preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Flexible schedule, including potential weekend coverage.
  • Ability to adapt to changing departmental and organizational needs.
  • Assigned work hours, shifts, start times, and days may change based on operational requirements.

Compensation

Pay : $88,004 - $121,784 / year

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
