About The Role

Purpose of Role

Provide high-quality extracurricular instruction in a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that supports students’ personal, social, and skill development. Plan and deliver activities appropriate to students’ age, abilities, and interests, fostering participation, creativity, discipline, teamwork, and continuous learning. Contribute to a positive school community by promoting student well-being and representing the school’s values and standards.

ISP Extracurricular

Teacher Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate extracurricular sessions aligned with the objectives and nature of the activity. Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment that encourages participation and respect.

Adapt activities and teaching strategies to accommodate different levels of ability, interests, and learning needs. Monitor students’ participation, progress, and development, providing appropriate feedback and encouragement.

Ensure the appropriate use, organization, and care of equipment, materials, and facilities related to the activity. Communicate professionally and collaborate with school staff and relevant members of the school community. Follow all school policies and procedures, particularly those related to safeguarding, health and safety, and student well-being.

Participate in relevant school events, showcases, competitions, performances, or activities associated with the extracurricular program, as required.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Strong classroom management and instructional skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to engage and motivate young students. All post holders are subject to appropriate vetting procedures, including an online due diligence search, references and satisfactory Criminal Background Checks or equivalent covering the previous 10 years’ employment history.
