About The Role

Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as Data Scientist. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country.

Responsibilities

  • Builds, maintains, and improves dashboards, applications, and automations.
  • Connects to APIs, system-to-system connections, and manual data transfers for ETL.
  • Builds predictive risk models using statistical analysis.
  • Applies AI/ML to extract insights from unstructured documentation.
  • Develops and carries out full-service data calls, including data normalization and visualization.
  • Creates business intelligence analysis and visualizations for management.
  • Improves methodologies and tools for risk assessment.
  • Researches and recommends business data storage/integration solutions.
  • Develops user guides and documentation using Power BI
  • Incorporates data science tools (SQL, R, Python, etc.) into services.

Qualifications

Must have 5 years of work experience
Strong proficiency with Power Platform, SharePoint, and InfoPath required.
Experience creating and managing reporting in Power BI
Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
Experience with common data science toolkits (R, Weka, NumPy, MATLAB, etc.) and BI tools (Power BI, Anaconda, SPSS).
Previous experience connecting to and manipulating data from federal systems preferred.
Ability to work on site 5 days per week
An active Top-Secret level clearance is required
